Our Technical Department, with more than 10 qualified engineers, continuously provided the Works Management teams a technical perspective of the installations.
Approach
We developed a project with project status meetings wherein we coordinated at the international level, while meeting every deadline and satisfying every quality metric in terms of partitioning, tiling, stainless-steel units made to measure for a high-performance kitchen. What started out as a small-scale project eventually turned into several larger projects. Today, Gasifred continues to be the group's technical partner.
Approach
For the first project, we provided personalised solutions using stainless-steel units, air-conditioning and commercial refrigeration solutions involving cold rooms.
We defined executive work teams with synergies, which made the opening of the Finca La Plaza restaurant in Santa Gertrudis a success. This involved a complete refurbishment, including gas, full kitchen, extraction and cold room installations.
The customer called for a comprehensive refurbishment of the restaurant and Gasifred provided support for the project through the entry of its qualified technical team at different stages.
The project for the Mikasa Boutique Hotel called for a lot of enthusiasm, care and elegance as it sought to bring the essence of Ibiza to life and Gasifred helped in creating the counter and kitchen areas.
Lastly, we also handled the project for Massa Café at the same time. It was another project that involved work on the kitchen and counters for excellent-quality service.
Likewise, we also designed the commercial refrigeration units and modified the extraction system, delivering everything on time.
History
These Italian customers started out working for Pio Di Biasse (Trattoria del Sole), and after several years, they ventured out on their own. Gasifred designed and set up their new restaurant in the Marina Botafoch area. They were extremely satisfied with the work we did.
After several years running this restaurant, there were technical support-related discrepancies. For a time, they stopped calling us in to handle their breakdowns, but in the end, they continued to rely on us.
In 2017, they approached us regarding a new project in the peripheral area of the promenade of Ibiza (the Nueva Ibiza building) and they asked us to design the kitchen for them. An Italian architect who acted as a go-between mentioned that everything was cheaper in Italy. They had received an air-conditioning system proposal from an Italian company and we had to convince the owners and the architect to accept our proposal instead. They had also requested quotations for some glass display cabinets that they finally bought from us.
We believe that the final results proved satisfactory for both the customers and our company, providing us with another reference for future installations.
Results
Finally, we chose a ventilated ceiling system for the kitchen. With it, we were able to provide the best air extraction and supply possible, as well as excellent design and lighting for all work areas.
For the cooking module, we installed a Charvet cooking suite which integrates a wide range of cooking options.
The final result is a more functional, ergonomic and powerful kitchen in order to maintain and increase the profitability of NASSAU BEACH CLUB.
Approach
We assigned teams that worked 8-hour shifts to fix the problem. Each day counted, with guest complaints streaming in, so it was absolutely essential for us to do the job in the least amount of time possible and for the breakdown not to occur again. To do this, we performed follow-up maintenance during the season to ensure that the system worked perfectly for the rest of the summer. Effectiveness, minimal response time and experience were the keys to our success.

As a result of this first project in 2009, today, we continue working for Alua Hotels & Resorts. We are their technical partner and we have designed and implemented projects for:
• Alua Miami Hotel :
Replacement of two of the air-conditioning system’s cooling plants (overhaul of the entire air-conditioning system over several stages).
Replacement installation for 3 stainless-steel ducts for a 6-storey-high façade.
Installation of 3 central air-conditioning plants removing 25 independent air-conditioning units due to excessive noise. Thus, we reduced excessive noise and gave rise to considerable savings in energy consumption.
• Alua Miami Hotel :
Replacement of three of the air-conditioning system's cooling plants (overhaul of the entire air-conditioning system over several stages).
• Alua HawaII Hotel :
Replacement of one of the air-conditioning system's cooling plants.
For the refurbishment of the hotel to upgrade it from 3 to 4 stars, Gasifred did all the plumbing (swimming pools, common areas, bars, restaurants, as well as the bathrooms in the guest rooms). We redesigned the entire indoor air-conditioning system, bringing in some new equipment and replacing all the ducting with fibreglass ducting and installing hydraulic-driven air-conditioning systems for the reception areas, bars, lounges and dining room.

Results
When we designed the system, we chose highly efficient and hard-wearing equipment to assure excellent performance to meet high demand during the summer season in Ibiza.
As a complement to the air-conditioning and refrigeration facilities, we installed a remote supervisory system that makes it possible for us and the resort’s maintenance team to control the temperatures of each of the cold rooms and to anticipate any operational issue.
